Ark Angel (Author: Ethan)

Ark Angel Review

Ark Angel is an adventure book. This book is an action-packed, adventurous, and it has a good cliffhanger ending. Ark Angel is the fifth book in the Alex Rider series. While Alex was recuperating from a gunshot wound, he gets out put in the room right next to Paul Dreven. His dad is one of the few multi-billionaires in the world. One night a terrorist group called Force Three breaks in and tries to kidnap Paul Dreven because his dad is building a hotel in space. The hotel is very bad for the environment. The kidnappers mistake Alex for Paul, and eventually Alex saves Paul from the kidnappers. Nikoli Dreven, Paul’s father, thanks Alex for saving Paul and lets Alex come to his private island for a few weeks. Force Three has not stopped trying to destroy Ark Angel, the hotel in space.

Anthony Horwitz describes everything amazingly well. For example, he describes how Alex was struck by the colors of the earth while in space. He was seeing olive, white, green, and red. He could even see the different continents.

The vocabulary is very high level. For example, he uses words such as presumably, gantries, and irregularities.

I recommend this book for fifth thru eighth graders because this book has high-level vocabulary. Anyone younger might not understand or find it boring because it is too hard to read.
