Prophet of Yonwood (Reviewed by Amir)

Prophet of Yonwood

Author: Jeanne Duprau

The prophet of Yonwood is a thumb up book because it is about hope, getting rid of bad, evil and living a sin free life.

This book is a realistic fiction book because it has characters and events that could happen in real life. This book is a bout girl visiting Yonwood, North Carolina. A girl named Nikkei makes some decisions on how to identify good and evil.

Some strengths and weaknesses:

Strength:

This book is has cool characters because of their traits. Another strength is that this book is short but has a lot of meaning. Also the book has unusual storyline, some one seeing the future, how cool is that.

Weakness:

The book starts out too fast, for example in the first chapter they already give the problem away.

I recommend this book to 5th -7th grade students because it has very strong vocabulary and meanings that won’t make sense to younger readers.

The Magician's Elephant (Reviewed by Lauren)

The Magician’s Elephant

By: Kate DiCamillo

“But it is –all of it –true,” [no, it’s really fiction and is not true]

The genre of this book is fiction because it is a made up story. It is about an orphan named Peter and his encounter with a fortune teller. Peter asked the fortune teller if his sister Adele was alive or not. The fortune teller said, “Yes.” Peter then went on an amazing adventure to find Adele. But the fortune teller said the only way to meet Adele was with the help of an elephant. Peter went to find the elephant and found that she [the elephant] was home sick. Finally, Peter needs the Magician to return the elephant back to its real home.

The strength of this book was that it was really easy to read in most chapters and it kept my interest. For example, I found it interesting when the elephant crashed through the opera house, fell on the noblewoman, and caused her to be in a wheelchair. The main weakness for me was that the book had some really hard words. For example, words like reluctance, subordinates, and lieutenants were hard to pronounce and I did not know the meaning at first. There are some more difficult words in the book, but those are some examples.

I recommend this book to 4th -5th graders. I rate this book four and one-half stars. This book was such an adventure. Kate DiCamillo is a wonderful author. She also wrote the book, The Tale of Desperaux, which I read before and liked very much. I am a Kate Dicomillo fan because she is a good author.

The Wizard of Oz (Reviewed by Michael)

Have you ever read a fairytale before? Well, if you haven’t I think I know just the book for you. You may have heard of this book before, but if you haven’t, it’s The Wizard of Oz. It’s also a famous movie.

I believe this is a fictional adventure book because it has a couple of unreal adventures in it. In The Wizard of Oz, a tornado sent a girl named Dorothy far away from her home, which is Kansas, and into the land of Oz. She later meets the Tin Woodman, The Scarecrow, and the Cowardly Lion. They all go to the wonderful Emerald City of Oz. The Tin man wants a heart, the scarecrow wants a brain, the lion wants courage, and Dorothy wants to get back to Kansas. If you want to find out if they get their wishes or not, you will have to read the story.

There are many good things about the book. One of its strengths is that the author creates characters and a setting, which are cool to imagine. For example, the winged monkeys, the different witches, and Dorothy’s three friends are all described with lots of details. Also, an emerald green city, like Oz, is fun to think about. Another strength is that this story teaches some important lessons. Dorothy, for example, is a kind friend who likes people just the way they are. These are just a couple of strengths in The Wizard of Oz.

I would recommend this book to kids who like fairytales, but not little kids because it might be scary and hard to understand. I also know adults who love this book, like my Mom and Dad. So if you’re looking for an adventurous fairytale with cool characters, read The Wizard of Oz by Frank Baum.

Harry Goblet and the Goblet of Fire (Reviewed by Teddy)

Harry is a wizard with a lot of problems. He just cannot keep out of trouble. After he stopped someone from taking over the world, killed a forty foot snake and proved a mass murderer innocent, you would think he’d be done. But when he has to compete in a contest he did not even enter, he knows something is wrong.

This book is fiction because the people, places and events aren’t real and cannot actually happen. The author has created an entire fake world mixed with the real world. Harry Potter wants to live a normal wizard life but he is chosen for a contest he didn’t enter. So he has to do three challenges … if he wants to live.

A strength of this book is that it feels like it never ends. There is always something going on. Whenever the book gets kind of slow something interesting will happen. For example, the main characters will be walking down a hall having a normal school day and they will find someone attacking someone. Another strength of this book is that all of the explanations are quick. The book will give short descriptions of people, place and things. This gives the book more time to have thrilling events happen in the text.

I recommend this book to people seven and up because it has all the qualities a good book should have. Such as quick explanations, thrilling events and it gives characters their own personality. As soon as someone can read they should read this book. I even recommend this book to adults because it is not only a kid book. I give this book five stars because it is a great book and everyone should read it.

I.Q (Reviewed by Colin)

I.Q.

How would you like it if your mom and dad are famous rock stars. Also you get to go on a one-year tour with them and get to miss school. That’s what happened to Q. and Angela, but it wasn’t all fun for them.

The genre of this book is realistic fiction because it takes place in a real setting and the characters could be real. Q. and Angela’s parents are getting married. The next day they’re going on a one-year tour to Philadelphia. Their parents are rock stars and the best in America! When they get there things go well. Q. and Angela get new cell phones and go out to fancy dinners. Their adviser Boone takes them to Independence Hall. Angela brings up that her mom got blown up there. Boone says many people say she’s alive but hiding. Angela, Q. and Boone investigate to see if she really died. Will they find out if she’s dead or not? Or even meet her? Read the book to find out!

I.Q. was an outstanding book. One bad thing is the beginning is so boring! For example, the beginning is a wedding. It felt like the first chapter would never end. A good thing is the ending is relevant. The ending isn’t a let down like other books do. I’m not telling you what happens but it has to do with Angela’s mom. Also the book has a lot of action. For example, there is a lot of kidnapping and threatening.

I.Q. is a definite two thumbs up because there is a lot of action. I recommend this book to fifth through seventh graders because younger kids probably wouldn’t understand it. Older kids will think it’s too easy to read. If you find the book somewhere, I recommend you read it!

Elephant Run (Reviewed by Danny G)

Elephant Run

by: Roland Smith

Elephant Run is Fantastic! Nick Freestone lives in London with his mother when their house gets bombed. Nicks mom talks to Nick’s dad and they decide that Nick should go to Burma with his dad. Soon Japanese invade and capture Nick and his dad. Nick then gets forced to become a house servant.

Nick is stuck cleaning but secretly is developing a plan. Elephant Run is realistic fiction because the war could have happened and the characters and events could have happened though. Nick, Hilltop and Mya are working out a way to escape. Nick also meets Sergeant Sonji.

Elephant Run has many strengths to it. One of them is it is very tempting to read for example on a Saturday I read for forty minutes then a few minutes later I read for another forty minutes. On the downside they always get away when they are caught for example when they were in an underground tunnel a really mean person let them go which is not that realistic.

I would highly recommend Elephant Run. Elephant Run is good for 5th through 7th graders because you have to understand it and it has a little bit harder vocabulary like Bukong. Read Elephant Run to see if Nick and Mya escape the Japenese.

Heat (Reviewed by Edward)

Heat is an incredible book with some of the best suspense I’ve ever seen. If you like baseball and suspense, you will love this story about Michael Arroyo’s tough life.

This book is realistic fiction because everything that takes place in this story can happen in real life. Michael Arroyo, who is from New York, wants to be a normal kid and play his favorite sport – baseball. Official people are asking Michael and his older brother Carlos questions about their dead father, so they lie and do many things in order to keep the two of them together. I loved the part when Michael discovered Ellie was El Grande, the star of the Yankees, daughter.

The strength of this book is that it is constantly suspenseful because it keeps you wondering what’s going to happen next. A weakness is the book doesn’t really describe the characters quickly. For example, Michael’s friend Manny doesn’t really get described until the middle.

This is definitely a phenomenal book. It is absolutely one of the greatest books I’ve ever read. Yes, I completely recommend this book from 3rd grade to 7th grade, because it seems like it would be too long and difficult vocabulary for 2nd graders. I think an 8th grader would be reading some harder books than this. I have to say, this book definitely deserves five out of five stars.

Tales of Desperaux (Reviewed by Katherine)

Intro:

This tale begins with a birth of a mouse. A small mouse...................................

Genre and Summery:

This thrilling tale is fantasy. Because of the mice and rats speaking in the book shows that this book is fantasy. The Tale of Despereaux is not only fantasy but a great book!! The book starts out with a very odd mouse. He has big ears and has a very small body. He has another problem besides everyone making fun of him, he has been sent to the dungeon!! But while he is locked away there are even bigger problems! This mean old rat has plans for the princess and he has his tricks that make a girl named Miggery Sow go wild. The book has so much suspense it makes you go crazy!!

Strengths and Weaknesses:

The beginning of this book is a weakness, because there wasn't much suspense. The book has more strengths and I will tell you some of them. One of them is that the book is very exciting because the parts make you shake, bite your fingernails and go crazy. Another strength is that you can't put the book down. You can't get enough. You'll love this great stuff!

Recommendation:

Flip, flip.....that is what you'll be doing when you get into this book. But we are going to talk about the recommendation because you need to know. The age I would recommend this book to is fourth through sixth graders because it would be hard, easy and crazy. What I mean is that it might be hard for younger ages. It may be easy for older kids. And it may be crazy for younger or older ages. For example, it may have too much suspense for some people. But I love the excitement and suspense. So if you decide to read this or not (but I would), you are in for a wild ride. If you like roller coasters, you will love this book.

Mrs. Dole is Out of Control! (Reviewed by Demetrius)

Mrs. Dole is out of control!

By Dan Gutman

My little kid is growing up! That was Ryan's mom because they are graduating. Miss. Daisy class is really graduating.

This book is a realistic fiction because some the events can really happen.

For example, they are graduating from the 3rd grade.
A.J. is the main character, he thinks Ryan's mom is going overboard about the graduation.

She's making a gigantic deal about his graduating even talking about when he was a baby. She really should cool out!

They're going to have a big graduation with cake and more. She really went out of control by doing all of that stuff.

This book has strengths and weaknesses, for example, there was one strength were A.J. tripped over the everlasting flame and that was funny!

Another weaknesses when officer Spence kisses someones else's mouth.
This is why this book has strengths and weaknesses.

I would recommend this book to kids that just started reading.
This book doesn't have any tough words; For example, in this book it has words: like, and, or for.

You can read this book in an hour or shorter. This book should've had a little stronger vocabulary in the book.
If you have a kid that can read parents you shouldn't let them read this easy book.

Football Hero (Reviewed by Zack)

Football Hero

by: Tim Green

Imagine that your parents died and you have to live with your mean uncle and aunt, while your brother is about to get drafted to the NFL. What would you do?

This book is realistic fiction where an event happens that hasn’t happened before, but could happen. Football Hero is about a kid named Ty. His parents died so he has to live with his very mean Uncle Gus and Aunt Virginia who barely let him do anything except work and read. Ty’s brother Thane gets drafted to the NFL and now Ty’s playing football and is one of the best players on his team. Things are going along pretty good for Ty until his Uncle takes advantage of Thane making money. Will Ty save Thane from losing his job? Read the book to find out.

There are two strength’s and two weaknesses to this book. The first strength is that it has football in it. For example, Ty is on a football team and might be one of the best players on it because he caught just about every pass that was thrown to him. Another strength is that it’s suspenseful. Like when Ty was about to get the winning touchdown, I almost fell out of my bed. One weakness is that it’s a little slow at the beginning because it’s not really that exciting. For example, it kept repeating the same old things throughout the whole story. Also, nothing really happened at the beginning. For example, Ty just goes to school and does normal stuff.

I would recommend this book to 3rd through 7th graders because it has both easy and hard words like, happy and sad and versatile and imperative. I give this book two thumbs up!

The Report Card (Reviewed by Vishwesh)

The Report card

Andrew Clements
Ever read “the Report Card”? Well I did, so I wrote this book review. If you did not, read the rest. This book is good.

The genre of this book is realistic fiction because the events could happen. For example you could get a lot of D’s and one C on your report card. There was a girl who was smart but she hid it from everyone. When she gets a horrible report card and a bunch of zeros to prove tests are stupid, many more things happen. Read to find out.

This book has two good things about and two bad things about it and two bad things about it (AKA strengths and weaknesses). First, is the weakness that the beginning does not make sense, I almost abandoned it because it was so confusing. Next, is the strength that it is not boring. It keeps you reading it. For example I read it almost every chance I got. Then, is the strength that it is not like five different stories, it is more like five stories that have the same characters and settings in one book. Last, is the weakness that only some parts will interest you. For example I liked the end because it was full of action. Also I didn’t like the beginning because it is boring.

I recommend this book to people ages seven to eleven years old because if you are younger you cant read good enough. It would be like reading the biggest book you could read if you are six years old. If you were older it would not be realistic to you. For example you would have more subjects than her. That’s all I got to say about “the Report Card”.

Savvy (Reviewed by Anisha)

Savvy

by: Ingrid Law

“When my brother, Fish turned thirteen, we moved to the deepest part of inland because of the hurricane and, of course, the fact he’d caused it.”

-Mibs

Savvy by Ingrid Law is a wonderful fantasy story because there is no such thing as magic and no one can read minds. Mibs Beaumont is about to become a teenager but when a Beaumont turns thirteen, a savvy strikes. A savvy is an inheritance that is in the Beaumont’s blood. Her dad is in the hospital and she wants a savvy that’ll save him and she also wants to see him. Mibs wasn’t allowed to go with her mom and brother to see her Dad. So she and her friends sneak on the bus but the bus starts heading the wrong direction. Will she be able to save her Dad? Read the book to find out.

Savvy has many strengths and weaknesses. One strength is that the author gave lots of details. The author gave lots of details of Carlene’s trailer. For example, I saw a clear image in my head. The author gave lots of details of the pink bus. For example, I could see it. A weakness is that the beginning was boring. I thought there would be more action to the beginning. For example, I wanted the author to write about what Mibs savvy was, in the beginning not in the end. I hoped there would be something else in the beginning. For example, I wanted it to be about how her dad was doing in the hospital. I believe that the author should’ve written something exciting in the beginning.

This book is five out of five stars. I highly recommend this book to 4th and 5th graders because they would understand the book better and the vocabulary. You’ll be amazed how Mibs and her friends get rid of their problems. You’ll totally love this book because I know I did!

Eclipse (Reviewed by Bidisha)

Eclipse

By Stephanie Meyer

“ It was after dark when we reached the house. In spite of that, the meadow was bright in the light shining from every window.”

Get ready for the 3rd book of the Twilight series to spring into action!!! Victoria is back, now looking for revenge on the Cullen family by killing Bella, but Edward won’t let that happen, so she makes an army of newborn vamires. In this book there is a special question that bonds Edward and Bella together. If you want to know what the question is, you have to read the book!!! This book is Fantasy Fiction because it has characters and events that can’t exist in real life.

A strength is that the story is suspenseful. For example, I could read this book forever and not stop. Another strength is that the book has strong vocabulary like optimistic and metallic. I had to look in the dictionary a couple of times but it was worth it. A weakness is that this book had curse words like hell. I was disgusted with that. Another weakness is that the book had inappropriate stuff like marriage. I was disgusted with that too.

I recommend this book to 10 year olds to old people. 10 year olds can read this book because they are old enough.Old people were ready for this book 20-30-40 years ago. No offense old people. Oops I forgot, the book wasn’t out then. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. Stephenie Meyer really gets things going.

Ruby Holler (Reviewed by Angie)

“Our mother just probably found an old box and it had that stuff in it and she didn’t pay it any attention. She probably just wrapped us up in that clean white blanket and put us inside. Maybe she wrote a note about how awful she felt having to give us up, and on that note was our real names, but maybe the wind blew that note away. You think?”

-Florida Carter

The genre of this book is realistic fiction because all the events in this book could happen in real life. Dallas and Florida aren’t just any twins they’re “trouble twins”. When Dallas and Florida were just small tiny babies their mother left them on the porch step of the Boxton Creek Home. Until that day Dallas and Florida have been looked over by the selfish and wicked Mr. and Mrs. Trepid. Dallas and Florida wanted to live a life with a loving family in a wonderful home but it seems like that’s just going to be one of those fairy tale stories for them. Mostly because they’ve been sent back from every house they’ve been to. So, finally one day an old yet active couple comes to the Boxton Creek Home and everything changes. It seems like there really can be a “happily ever after” story after all.

A Strength in this book would be that the author did a great job of creating the characters. Every time you read about a character you would think that you’re in their shoes. For example, every time something happens to a character you feel complete empathy for them. The characters life is set up so real it seems as if they’re actual people. For example, sometimes you wonder if the author wrote a biography instead of a storybook. A weakness in this book would be that the book doesn’t seem finished. You don’t know what really happened to the characters. For example, it just stops without saying much at the end. The past events aren’t finished. For example, you’re waiting to find out the ending of the past events but it’s not mentioned.

I recommend this book especially to 4th and 5th graders because I think that this audience will have a better understanding of this book. I would highly recommend this book because it’s so interesting to read. Ruby Holler would be a perfect book to read on vacation or break but you can read it when ever. Overall Ruby Holler is a “two thumbs up!!”

Kingdom Keepers (Reviewed by James)

Kingdom Keepers

“She is glowing like a D.H.I. But she is not a D.H.I.”

Kingdom Keepers II by Ridley Pearson is a science fiction book because people cannot turn into holograms by pushing their fear away. This story is about Finn, Maybeck, Charlene, Philby, Amanda and Jez. These characters would like to be regular people. But the evil Maleficent steals the D.H.I. machine and clones it. So they find the machine and destroy it.

A strength of this book is that it is very action packed. For example, Finn and Jez are stuck inside an enclosure with tigers, monkeys and orangutans that try to attack them. Another strength of this book is that there are many interesting vocabulary words that make you sound smarter like Mr. Vaid does. For example, they have words like encrypted, geometrically, apprehensive, pterodactyl, quill, prehistoric, majestically, and prowling.

I recommend this book to ages 8 through 12 because there is very difficult vocabulary in the text. I give this book 26 out of 5 stars because it was so action packed. Every other paragraph had something action filled. For example, Amanda and Jez are on the ride Expedition Everest and the ride goes haywire. READ THIS BOOK!

Oggie Cooder (Reviewed by Drew)

Oggie Cooder

By: Sarah Weeks

Do you have a weird talent that no one knows about? Well, in this book Oggie Cooder does. His talent is charving cheese. You do not have to be a cheese lover to read this book.

The genre of Oggie Cooder is realistic fiction. For example, it has many events that could happen in real life. This book is about a kid named Oggie Codder. He has a secret weird talent. He loves to charve cheese. He charves cheese into different shapes like Texas, Florida, and even Missouri. Oggis’ wish is to become a famous cheese charver. He has a great opportunity to be on a TV show called Hidden Talents. The prize for winning will make all of Oggies’ dreams come true. However, Donnica, his sneaky neighbor, has other plans for him. Will Oggie lose and go on with a normal life, or will he win it all?

I felt this book kept me interested. I found it hard to put down. I liked Sarah Week’s style of writing. But, I must admit it was an easy book to read for example, the author’s choice of words.

I recommend this book to third through fifth graders because it is not a violent book. Also third graders would be probably interested in this story. Well this book is awesome! So read it!

The Tale of Beedle the Bard (Reviewed by Erin)

Book Review

The Tale Of Beedle The Bard

By J.K. Rowling

Introduction:

You will never ever for get these tales, these magical tales…

Genre and Summary:

This book is fantasy. For example there are wizards and magic. These stories have many tales like “The Wizard and the Hopping Pot, “The Fountain of Fair Fortune, The Warlocks Hairy Heart, Babbity Rabbity and Her Cackling Stump,” and my personal favorite, “The Tale of the Three Brothers.” Since I can’t give a summary on all of them I will just do it on my favorite. The Tale of the There Brothers is about three brothers walking at twilight time and Death runs into them. Death says, “I will give you one thing.” The oldest brother asks for a wand so powerful that it could defeat anyone. The second brother asks for a rock that could bring back the dead. Death gives the wand and rock to them. The third brother was the smartest and new that Death would follow him if he were visible. So he chose an in invisibility cloke. Death gives that to him and walked away. They traveled until the first brother found a place to stay. Only the first brother did that. When he fell asleep that night, Death-WAIT! I’m not supposed to tell you that part. Never mind!

Strengths and Weaknesses:

In this book you wouldn’t find a lot of weaknesses besides the fact that the start out slow. At the beginning of the story they just talk about who knows what! For example in the story, “The Fountain of Fair Fortune,” they have the first few paragraphs just saying where they are. It’s annoying! Also the next paragraph just describes. BORING!!! Here is my strength. The stories are funny. They have weird names like Babbity Rabbity and her Cackling Stump and, The Warlocks Hairy Heart. You can have a hairy heart unless you’re dead or something. I would like to tell you a lot more strengths but I can’t.

Recommendation:

I would recommend this book to anyone who has read Harry Potter because you might not under stand it. I enjoyed this book and I hope you do to.

Seekers Smoke Mountain (Reviewed by Bobby)

Four young bears have a quest to find the “last Great Wilderness.” The last great wilderness is a place where there is ice in the sea all year long, where there is endless prey, and no flat-faces. Along the way, the four bears have to overcome Black paths, fire beasts, flat-faces, death sticks, the Big River, starvation, and most of all... Smoke Mountain. Flat-faces are humans, fire beasts are cares and trucks, death sticks are guns, Black paths are roads, and Smoke Mountain is the Mackenzie Mountains. Toklo is a grizzly bear, Lusa is a black bear, and Kallik is a polar bear.

This book is fiction because bears talk and humans do not talk. Toklo, Lusa, Kallik, and Ujurak want to find the last great wilderness. But flat-faces hunt them down. So the bears run away from them.

One strength is that this book has lot of drama. For example, two out of four bears get a great taste death when the hunters shoot them. I felt like the drama kept me reading. Also this book has good descriptions. For example instead of mountain peak it is hazy mountain peak. That made me a great visuals. This book was a page turner. For example you read a chapter then it stops at a great part. That left me hanging. Another strength is that almost every chapter is a different bears thoughts. For example Lusa does a difficult thing then it is Kallik who does it and her thoughts. That gives me an idea of every bears thoughts.

I would recommend this book to ten years old and older because this book has violence, like blood. This book is a good read because this book is long and I love long books! Another reason this book is a read is that this book has main characters point of view in different chapters. For example it would be the same setting where it leaves off, but it would be a different bear’s thoughts. That’s why this book was a good read.

Review of East (Samantha)

East
By: Edith Pattou

“What have you done, said the guy who had been turned into a white bear. Then he slipped something on my finger. It was a ring that said valois on it.” That was a quote from the book. Rose (the main character) mistakenly wakes up the visitor in her bed and that causes chaos.

This story is fantasy fiction because unrealistic things happen. Like when a human turns into a bear and when someone shoots fire out of their fingers. This story is about a very poor family. When their family just starts to lose their money, a white bear comes and tells Rose’s family that they can be rich. There’s only one condition. He can have Rose for one year in a castle. She agrees. But when Rose tries to sleep, someone sleeps next to her. Then one day she decides to see who it is. She wakes him up and he gets taken away by the Troll Queen. Now Rose is on a quest to save him.

Also I mean to tell you this book is very strong! This book is strong because it’s very suspenseful. For example, in part of the story Rose has a dilemma. She has to choose to go with the white bear to the castle or not. You’ll be wondering: will she disobey her Dad who said no, or will she go because she’s adventurous and mad at her Dad. Another suspenseful part was when Rose was wondering who was the person in her bed and whether she should look. It is a suspenseful part because she thinks it might be a monster but still wants to know who it is. Another time the book is strong is when the book uses great vocabulary. It uses words like scrutinize and elaboration. That makes the story more interesting. Then it’s not just the same old words! That would be boring. But sometimes it’s a little weak though. At the beginning it keeps going on and on about Rose’s farm and how she’s poor. Farm, farm, farm, poor, poor, poor, boring!

I really love this book! I recommend this book! Fifth graders and up should read this book because it has high vocabulary. Also if you like fantasy you’ll love this book. Happy Reading!

Inkdeath Review by Anusha

INKDEATH

By, Anusha Class 5V

'Piper, beware, your end is near,
The Adder's power dwindles.
He writhes, he goes in mortal fear,
Nothing his strength rekindles.
Though you seek the Jay in country and town,
No sword can wound him, No hound can run him down.
And when you think you'll succeed in your quest,
You find that the bird has flown the nest.'

-song about the Blue Jay

The genre of the story is Fantasy Fiction because the characters, events, and story are made up. This story is about a war fought in ....... in different ways than you would expect. Meggie, (a character in the book), has amazing powers! She can bring words to life with her voice! This is a great book! You should read it!

There were a great many strengths in this book, but there were a few weaknesses. Here is one of them. The story had a lot of sadness in it. People lost so much at times. For example, when the enemy came all the villagers were practically starved! Well, one of the strengths was that the story was suspenseful! You never knew weather someone was going to die, be taken to a dungeon, or, be set free. For example, the Blue Jay's legs were about to be deliberately be broken with a weapon, when Violante stepped in. Another strength is that the creatures were amazing! There was such a variety! For example, there were fire-elves, Night-mares, blue-skinned fairies, and many more! One more strength was that the ideas and feelings were good. There were a great many! For example, there was sadness, happiness, excitement, fear loneliness, and more!

I would recommend this book to older and better readers because there is some violence and parts that a young and not-so-good- reader may not understand. I recommend this book because it is adventurous and exciting. Something that made this book good to read was that it was so detailed that it felt as if you were in the story!

Go Read This Book!!!
Rating: *****= 5 star book!
