Prophet of Yonwood (Reviewed by Amir)

Prophet of Yonwood

Author: Jeanne Duprau

The prophet of Yonwood is a thumb up book because it is about hope, getting rid of bad, evil and living a sin free life.

This book is a realistic fiction book because it has characters and events that could happen in real life. This book is a bout girl visiting Yonwood, North Carolina. A girl named Nikkei makes some decisions on how to identify good and evil.

Some strengths and weaknesses:

Strength:

This book is has cool characters because of their traits. Another strength is that this book is short but has a lot of meaning. Also the book has unusual storyline, some one seeing the future, how cool is that.

Weakness:

The book starts out too fast, for example in the first chapter they already give the problem away.

I recommend this book to 5th -7th grade students because it has very strong vocabulary and meanings that won’t make sense to younger readers.
