Peyton and Eli Manning (Reviewed by Zack)

Peyton and Eli Manning

Matt Christopher

Ready, set, hut! Touchdown! The Manning brothers have now both won the Super Bowl.

Peyton and Eli Manning is a biography, which is a book written by someone else, about a famous persons life. It’s about a famous or different persons life. It’s about Peyton and Eli’s family that had so much experience with football. Like there dad, Archie Manning who played for the Saints, Peyton who plays for the Colts and Eli who plays for the Giants. It also tells how they got there and what they were like growing up.

There are two strength’s and one weakness. The first strength is the book tells you about stuff about the Manning’s that you would never guess to know. For example, did you know the Manning’s had another boy named Cooper? Cooper was a really good receiver but couldn’t play football anymore because he had a back problem. Also, it says what college they went to. Eli went to Ole Miss, Peyton went to Tennessee and Archie Manning went to Ole Miss. Another strength is that it takes you through a lot of their games and makes it sound so exciting! Like when Eli and the Giants one the Super Bowl. I thought the announcers were jumping up and down! Also, when Eli and Peyton faced each other in a NFL game, they took you through all the scoring and what seemed like every second of the game! Finally the one weakness is that most of the book is just stat’s and numbers. For example, when Peyton played his first game the next ten pages was like blah blah blah passing yards and all that. Also, probably 3 quarters of the book was stats. I almost abandoned it because of that.

I recommend this book to football addicts because all the story is pretty much football! I give this book two thumbs up.
