Holes (Reviewed by Johnny)

"It's a miracle they're still alive". No, you dont know how this ties into the story, but yes, you will if you read the book , and yes this part is BIG.

This story is realistic fiction because the events in the story very well could happen, but they didn't. Stanley Yelnats wants to live his typical life but when he's arrested for something he didn't do, he is forced to dig five foot deep holes in he middle of a dessert filled with poisonous lizards. So he... Oh wait! I cant tell you! You'll just have to read the book!

Now on to S and W's, or just strength and weaknesses. A weakness of the story is that it has pretty much the same routine in every chapter of the middle of the book. It's not until the end that the book gets really exciting. The middle was only decent, and could of been much better.. So, as said before, the end is a total strength. Ther is nothing I could say to elaborate without giving away the whole book, but trust me, it is awesome!

This book could be better, but it's a definite thumbs up. It's great for anyone ages eight and above. I say this because some parts are, well, disturbing. A disgusting type of disturbing. Well, my job is done! Oops! I almost forgot to tell to make sure you read the book! It's worth it!
