Anne of Green Gables (Author: Sophie)

Anne of Green Gables

By: L.M. Montgomery

Interviewed by: Sophie Magill

“Matthew Cuthbert who’s that”? She ejaculated “where is the boy”?

This story is about an orphan girl who just wants to have a home for her whole life. Her name is Anne Shirley. The book title is “Anne of Green Gables”. Anne has been passed on by many people and now finds herself at Green Gables Matthew and Marilla are the owners of Green Gables. But Matthew and Marilia Cuthbert are expecting a boy not a girl.

This book is very well put and the author L.M. Montgomery. “Anne of Green Gables” has a lot of strengths and no weaknesses. One strength is that it has good vocabulary. For example it uses words like anxiety, sorrowful and buxom. Those are very big words that most kids wouldn’t understand. This story is one of the best stories I have ever read.

I recommend this book to 4th – 8th graders because it uses big words like buxom. Little kids wouldn’t understand these big words. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.
