Miranda (Author: Sania)

"I never knew who sent me these note, but I will find out soon."-Miranda

This book's genre is realistic fiction because all the events that happen in the book can happen in real life. A girl named Miranda receives notes from a person. Yet she didn't know who it is. The person gives clues to find out who it is. Miranda has lots of hobbies. For example, she gets a non-paying job at "Jimmy's." And her mom is entering a contest to win 25,000 dollars! And her friend Sal is not her friend anymore because he got punched in the stomach and Miranda didn't do anything about it.

One thing that was good about it was that it explained the opinion or statement. For example, instead of saying "woke up sleepily", the author said "woke up groggily".

Some things I didn't like about this book was that it had to short chapters. For example, each chapter was about 2-3 pages long. Also it skipped around to much. Because one chapter was about her mom training for the contest. And another started off at Jimmy's, the dentists office, or at Belles(which is a store in the book).

I'd recommend this book to be appropriate for grades 4th-6th because it isn't that easy to understand what the author sometimes says. I'd give this book 3 3/4 stars out of 5 stars.
